Anna Bond Poster

This was my first design project, so it holds a special place in my heart and design beginnings. We were assigned to choose and research a famous designer off of a list and create an event poster for them. I happened upon Anna Bond and realized that I had been admiring her work, through Rifle Paper Co., for a long time. I also found out that we have a lot in common! from our love of painting and florals, to our university (Liberty University).

I hand-painted everything with gauche, minus the detailed event info and logo, and touched it up and arranged it in photoshop. I used the inspiration of Anna's style, different elements she commonly uses (like flowers and city motifs), and New York, New York, where she resides and had her first big showing at a stationary convention.

While looking back, after completing my education, I see things that I would adjust and change and enhance, etc. However, I still love this piece and I think back to all the research and figuring-out it took as well as the fun I had creating it.
